Packet pickup will be held on Friday, October 20th from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the EE Waddell Community Center in Albemarle. The address to this location is 621 Wall Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
We will also have packet pickup on race day from 4:30 am to 5:30 am at the start/finish.
There will be an optional Pre Race Briefing starting at 5:00pm, October 20th at the EE Waddell Community Center in Albemarle at 621 Wall Street Albemarle, NC 28001. There will also be a short pre-race briefing on the morning of the race at 5:40am at the start/finish.
There will be a free pre-race dinner available for runners and their families at the EE Waddell Community Center starting immediately following the pre-race briefing on Friday, October 20th. A link will be sent out as the race draws near for runners to annotate if they will be attending and how many family members they will be bringing.
Runners have until 1 July to cancel their entry into the race and request full refund of registration cost paid minus Ultra Signup processing fees. We will not be able to refund race cancellations made on or after 2 July due to costs of producing the required amount of race shirts, medals, buckles, etc.
We are still in need of volunteers to make this event successful. All volunteers will receive a race shirt as a small thanks for their assistance with the race. Also, volunteers who volunteer for eight hours or more will receive 50% off entry into the 2018 Uwharrie 100 Mile/100K Trail Run. There will be cots and sleep tents available for volunteers who would like to sleep at the location. Volunteer signup will become available on June 1st, 2017.
Volunteer Pacer Signup
Runners can begin having pacers run with them after completing 41 miles (2 laps). Volunteer pacers will receive a race shirt for their valuable assistance to their runner and race. Volunteer pacer signup will become available on June 1st, 2017.
We will be conducting monthly training runs on the course leading up to the race. All runners are welcome, even if they are not signed up for the race. Information about these runs can be found on our Facebook Page and on our News Page.
