Good Morning Uwharrie 100 Runners,
We hope you all are doing good. Race day is officially two months out and we hope you are getting as excited as we are! We will begin pushing out pre-race emails within the next few weeks to hopefully answer any questions you may have about the race. In the meantime we wanted to push out a quick note about a change of venue for our packet pickup/pre-race brief/dinner and also to let you know of an outdoor festival that will be taking place the same weekend of Uwharrie 100 called the Ten Days of Uwharrie.
Packet Pickup, Pre-Race Briefing and the Pre-Race Dinner is being moved to Lilly's Bridge Marina located at 1183 Lillys Bridge Rd, Mount Gilead, NC 27306. Packet Pickup will still be held from 3:00pm - 7:00pm and the optional Pre-Race Briefing will be at 5:00pm. Both Packet Pickup and the Pre-Race Briefing will be held on the pavilion out on the dock. Runners and their family/crew will receive meal vouchers when they pick up their race packets that can be used either at the Marina's Restaurant or at one of the several food trucks there. There will be live bands playing beginning at 3:00pm and continuing until 9:00pm. Attached are some pictures of the location if you have never been out to Lilly's Bridge.
Our packet pickup will be one of the first events to kickoff the first annual Ten Days of Uwharrie outdoor festival. There will be tons of great activities that will be available for your friends and family to check out if they have some downtime while you are out enjoying the trails out at Uwharrie. Information on all the scheduled events is available online at https://ncoutdoorfestival.com/. They will be adding more and more events so make sure to check back as we get closer to race day.
